Ecco, a division of HarperCollins, has acquired the rights to a memoir by Steven Tyler, below, the 60-year-old lead singer of Aerosmith. The book will go into Mr. Tyler’s childhood in the Bronx, his music career, his relationship with his four children “and all of the sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll imaginable,” the publisher said in a statement on Wednesday. Daniel Halperin, the publisher of Ecco, who has described himself as an avid fan of Aerosmith since the 1970s, will edit the book, which is to be published in 2009.
